    Goolwa Huff N Puff

    Can your legs beat a paddle steamer? Race the Oscar W to the Goolwa Wharf! The Paddle Steamer Ocsar W will be full steam ahead on the River Murray racing from the eastern end of Liverpool Road to the Goolwa Wharf.

    Runners will start with the Oscar W and run the 3.5km to the finish.
    The extra keen runners can start at the wharf at 9 am and run to the end of Liverpool Road before turning around to race the paddle steamer to the finish.

There is plenty of entertainment to keep the children amused, with sideshow amusements, horses in action, vintage farm machinery, shearing demonstrations and of course who could forget the show bags. For adults, there is the art, handicraft, cookery, plants, photography and homebrew and lots more. Plenty to do and see so come along on the long weekend in October.

    Experience the transport of yesteryear as you travel by train, paddle boat and horse-drawn tram on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula.
    Travel from Victor Harbor to Goolwa via the Scenic Cockle train before enjoying a cruise on board the authentic wood-fired paddle steamer Oscar W from the historic Goolwa Wharf, then travel back to Victor Harbor on the Cockle train. Then board the iconic Horse Drawn Tram to Granite Island. The Fleurieu Heritage Experience can be started in either Goolwa or Victor Harbor. Each person will receive a souvenir ticket to keep as a memento of their journey

Light the Night is an annual Leukaemia Foundation fundraising event that helps provide every Australian with the support and services they need to beat their blood cancer. Now in its tenth year, Light the Night is a unique event bringing Australia’s blood cancer community together in more than 140 locations in October to remember and reflect during a moving ceremony and short lantern walk.

    Following the success of their 2015 pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, The South Coast Choral and Arts Society returns with a brand-new pantomime in the October school holidays.
    Cinderella lives with her loving father, a retired Major-General. But her two older sisters treat her like a slave. Frederic is an apprentice upon a pirate’s ship, captained by the evil Pirate King. But when these two meet, they are swept up in a tale of adventure, sword-fighting, and love. Throw in music by Whitney Houston, Queen, and Megan Trainor; a dame and a ship full of pirates and you have a hilarious, interactive pantomime the entire family will enjoy!
