GOOLWA

South Lakes Golf Club – The relatively flat terrain of the South Lakes Golf Club makes the 5784 metre course a pleasant walk with a background of waves crashing on the beach. The 18 hole, par 70 course is not long, eliminating the need for motorised carts (although they are still available for hire if needed) but it still provides a challenge to the low handicappers as obviously accuracy is the priority. They provide a licenced and fully air conditioned clubhouse with a bar, dining area and also an outdoor decking area and can accommodate up to 230 guests. So if you have worked up an appetite over a long day of golf you can freshen up at their fully equipped Ladies and Gentlemens changing facilities all ready for a tasty dinner.

The South Lakes Golf Club has also been inducted into the Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism Hall of Fame and the SA Great Regional Awards Hall of Fame as a reward for their outstanding commitment to providing the best service and facilities to their guests!  For more information you can visit their website HERE

NORMANVILLE

The Links Lady Bay – An 18 hole course with par 72. The Links Lady Bay course is 6116 metres and is situated on the cusp of the magnificent Lady Bay adjacent to the seaside town of Normanville. Designed by golfing legends Jack Newton, Graeme Grant and John Spencer the Links Lady Bay has subtle bent greens and is a true St Andrews style sand based course. It is South Australia’s only traditional Links style golf course modelled on the courses found in Scotland and Ireland and sits in a stunning setting overlooking the Fleurieu Coastline. It is among the best in South Australia. The Links Lady Bay golf course is strong enough from the back tees to test gifted golfers (with a 17th hole that features in Australia’s best holes!), yet fair enough to be enjoyed by the average player. Coastal views and kangaroos, it doesn’t get much better than this!

For a relaxed dining experience after the game, the Links offers dining in their restaurant overlooking the golf course  and with magnificent views of the ocean. There is a balcony and gazebo dining also or if you prefer to sit back with a cake and coffee, you will find lounges perfect for that! For more information you can visit their website HERE
